Questions frequently asked in relation to the 2018 Logan Business Distinction Awards. Please contact us if you have any other questions.
Who decides who is nominated for and who wins an Award?
Any person may nominate any business located in Logan for an award by submitting the electronic form on this website.
A external panel established by the Logan Chamber of Commerce will consider all submissions received. Generally this panel is a mix of highly-regarded entrepreneurs and academics who advise the winners to a nominated member of the Chambers of Commerce Working Group Award. The nominated member then organises the production of the awards and provides the award envelopes to presenters on the night.
Can members of the Chambers of Commerce nominate?
Yes. Membership or lack of membership in a Chamber of Commerce or other Community Group does not prevent or promote nominees prospects for an award. Nomination is available for any business operating in the City of Logan.
Is there separate awards for Small and large businesses?
The judges may award a winner in each category and have the discretion to make an award in each category for Large, Small and Micro-businesses at the discretion of the judges.
What if Don Meiji does not attend?
The Chambers of Commerce Working Group Award is very excited that Mr Don Meij, CEO of Dominos, has confirmed his attendance and agreement to present a keynote address at the Awards.
Mr Meij's acceptance is subject to travel and other commitments to be determined in mid-June.
